How a place gets on
- All the meat is halal, not just some dishes.
- No pork anywhere on the menu or shelves. Unlabelled ham, bacon or pepperoni keeps a place off until we know what it is.
- The place says so itself, or holds a halal certificate. Directory listings alone aren't enough.
- It's open now. We mark the alcohol situation on every card so you can choose.
